Ondo Election: Group debunks report of alleged deal between Oke, Tinubu, others ahead of poll

The Ondo rebirth network (ORN) has debunked newspaper report (Not by DAILY POST) alleging that the candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in the ONDO State election, Chief Olusola Oke has struck a deal with the OSUN state Governor, ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu over sharing of political positions if he ( Oke) emerges as the next governor of the state.

The group in statement by its Publicity Secretary, Olufemi Lawson, said that, while it appreciates the right of the media organisation behind the report on the choice of their reportage, ”We wish to categorically state that the report of the purported deal between chief Olusola oke and the duo of Ogbeni Aregbesola and Tinubu only exist in the widest imagination of the author of the unfounded rumor.

”Let it be noted for the records that ogbeni Aregbesola and Asiwaju Tinubu are still leaders of the all Progressive Congress (APC) and not members of the Alliance for democracy (AD) where chief Olusola oke is the candidate. May we at this point confidently say that this report is just one of the numerous beer parlor induced campaign of calumny that the Ondo State chapter of the APC has been engaging in, over the past few weeks since they could no longer match up with the massive acceptability of chief Olusola oke and his continually rising popularity among the electorates in Ondo State.

”It is shameful that rather than focusing and Marketing their padded candidate who has been rejected by even their party faithfuls in Ondo State, the Akeredolu campaign has preoccupied itself with petty issues such as sharing of political positions for an office that no one has been elected into.

”We, therefore, call on the people of ONDO state to disregard this report which only exist in the wildest imagination of the drowning opposition.”
