A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has refused the ex parte motion of Olusegun Abraham, one of the All Progressives Congress (APC), aspirants in the Ondo governorship primary election.

Abraham is asking the court to stop the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from accepting Rotimi Akeredolu, former President of the Nigeria Bar Association, as APC authentic candidate for the November 28 election.

Ruling on the motion, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba, said the matter was sensitive in nature.

The judge held that “it will be fair if all parties to the suit are present in court before order is made”.

Dimgba adjourned the case till October 28 for hearing.

Prof. George Akinseyi, Counsel to Abraham, joined the APC, Akeredolu and INEC, as defendants in the suit.
