Ahead of the November 26 governorship election in Ondo State, no fewer than 6,000 members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The APC defectors led by one Adebowale Olowoeye also known as Olumose and Bidemi Oladapo declared allegiance for the PDP in Idanre, Ondo State.

Olumose who led the defectors, said they decided to switch allegiance because the “Eyitayo Jegede’s wind blowing across the state is too real to be ignored.”

The event which took place at the popular Depot, Broad Street, Idanre, saw the defectors taking turns to declare their support for the PDP governorship candidate.

This came as National Chairman of the party, Chief John Oyegun inaugurated a campaign committee for the governorship elections in the state.

Recall that APC in the state has been lingering in crises following the emergence of former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Rotimi Akeredolu,  as its governorship candidate.
