Ondo APC members shut down party secretariat, plan to beat up chairman, Kekemeke

There was commotion this morning, (Tuesday) at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ondo State Secretariat in Akure as some aggrieved party members locked out the office against the party Chairmen, Hon Isaac Kekemeke.

Kekemeke was alleged to have called for a meeting with ward party chairmen this morning at the Secretariat over the August 27, governorship primary election of the party.

It was alleged that the purpose of the meeting was to lure the ward chairmen to mobilise other delegates of the party to support the anointed aspirant, Mr. Segun Abraham, among 24 others eyeing the ticket.

It will be recalled that the National leader of APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu had recently thrown his weight behind Abraham ahead of the party primary.

The members led by Hon. Tolu Babaleye, and Adekole Jimmy, popularly known as JAF were seen locking the party secretariat.

However, all efforts to speak with Kekemeke proved abortive as his phone lines were switched off as at the time of filing this report.

The party’ Publicity Secretary, Omo’ba Omosanya Abayomi had recently said there won’t be imposition of candidate.
