Reno Omokri, former aide to Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s presence at a wedding ceremony of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s daughter, Hajiya Fatima and her groom, Idris Ajimobi on Saturday.
Buhari has come under attack after photos emerged of him in Kano with the national leader of the All progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu and other dignitaries at Ganduje’s daughters wedding.
Some Nigerians found his appearance offensive as he appeared to have ignored victims of Boko haram attacks, herdsmen clash among other issues bordering on insecurity.
Omokri, reacting described Buhari’s presence in Kano as a new low for Nigeria as a nation.
He wrote on his Twitter page, “President Buhari rightly cancelled multiple events when his son, Yusuf, was in hospital.
“But seeing Buhari celebrating and dancing in Kano while #DapchiGirls parents are weeping, while Zamfara is mourning, while Kaduna is burning and Adamawa is on fire, is a new low for Nigeria!”
