Reno Omokri, Former Goodluck Jonathan’s aide has reacted to a statement credited to Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar blasting the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) over herdsmen attacks.

DAILY POST recalls that the Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI, a coalition of Islamic organisations, headed by the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar had lambasted the CAN over comments by its secretary, Musa Asake.

The JNI accused CAN of making unnecessarily overheating statements on killings and deliberately covering up by using the ‘herdsmen’ crisis as a franchise to perpetrate evil as witnessed in ‘Boko Haram’.

JNI also accused Nigerian pastors, David Oyedepo, Apostle Suleman amongst others of increasing killings through hate speeches.

Reacting, Omokri called on Sultan to be sensitive to Nigerians being killed and stop laying accusations on Christians.

He tweeted “Dear Sultan of Sokoto, as head of Jamatul Nasir Islam, is it right for JNI to accuse Christians of being behind herdsmen?

“How can CAN be behind herdsmen? Please Your Eminence, JNI should be sensitive to the fact that herdsmen are killing Nigerians. Accusations are not the answer!”
