Super Eagles Defender, Kenneth Omeruo, has dismissed claims that Gernot Rohr’s preferred defensive pairing of Leon Balogun and William Troost-Ekong, will affect his place in the team.

The Alanyaspor defender was used as a right-back in the 3-1 win over Algeria this month.

Omeruo says he is ready to play in any position for the team, to help the Eagles qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

“We all are playing as a team with one goal of making it to the World Cup, whoever the coach selects will definitely give his all,” Omeruo told Completesportsnigeria.com in Abuja.

“Which ever role the coach thinks I can play in the team I will definitely give my all. Playing from the right-back against Algeria is just like I’m playing at the heart of the defence.

“As a Nigerian, I am ready to play anywhere and give my all to the team. As long as we get the results and we are able to qualify for the World Cup in Russia.”
