Kenneth Omeruo’s loan move from Chelsea to Besiktas has stalled and other clubs who are interested have been scared off by his 15,000-a-week pay packet.
The Super Eagles defender was expected to join the Turkish champions on a season-long loan with the option to buy, but the deal has stalled.
However, a source close to Omeruo, told AfricanFootball that the 22-year-old is not short of suitors and the only problem is his salary, with Chelsea insisting that any club must pay in full during the loan spell.
“Besides Besiktas, several clubs especially in Turkey and Spain are interested in signing Kenneth, but what has held them back is that they cannot afford his weekly salary,” the source said.
Omeruo has already been on loan at ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough and Kasimpasa.
