The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has named Florence Omagbemi as the interim head coach of the Super Falcons.
Following the recommendation of its Technical and Development Committee, the NFF executive board approved the choice of the former national team captain.
The Falcons have been without a handler, since they failed to qualify for this year’s Olympics and acting coach Christopher Danjuma, was sacked after failing to win a medal at the All African Games in September 2015.
Omagbemi will take charge of the current African champions, until a foreign coach is appointed.
The former defender featured in four different FIFA Women’s World Cup from China 1991 to USA 2003.
