The Nigerian U-23 team and their Brazilian counterparts have been tipped as the favourites to claim the gold in the football event in the Rio Olympic by the coach of South Africa U-23 team, Owen Da Gama.
The Olympics kicks off on June 5.
Nigeria U-23 team, also known as Dream Team IV are drawn alongside Sweden, Japan and Colombia in Group B, while South Africa is in Group A with Brazil, Denmark and Iraq.
The 54-year-old, who was speaking with cafonline, said he was waiting anxiously to take on Brazil in their first game in the tournament.
He said, “We know it’s going to be tough.
“They’ve got some great players, but the challenge is also going to be an opportunity for us.
“I think there’s going to be a lot of pressure on Brazil, and the longer we can hold them off the better. It’s going to be a fantastic experience and I think we can acquit ourselves well.”
