Olumide Adegbulu, popularly known as Olu Maintain has released two new songs featuring two popular America artistes, Olivia and Fatman Scoop. The two songs are titled Hypnotize and Oya Dancia. Hypnotize is a well crafted melodious song with well arranged strings and horns while Oya Dancia is a party song. Speaking on the new songs, Olu said it was high time he dropped something new. “It is a public knowledge that NAWTI was well accepted and even till now, the song is still in hot demand. I’ve been getting lots of calls and messages from friends and fans asking me when I will be releasing my next singles and I thank them all for the love. The two songs I’m releasing now are part of the songs on my album titled Chosen One and I’m very sure lots of people will enjoy it as much as they enjoyed NAWTI. It is a better way to start 2013”.
Olu Maintain’s last single, NAWTI, won him several awards in 2012 including Best Video of The Year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards in New-York and Best Reggae/Dancehall Video of the year at Nigeria Music Video Awards. A day after winning NMVA Best Reggae Video of the Year in Lagos on December 20, 2012, Olu Maintain made an appearance at the EME Baddest Concert on December 21. While performing Big Boy with Banky W, a song originally written by eLDee Da Don featuring both artistes, the crowd went wild for Olu and eventually requested that he performed Nawti. The performance of Nawti was described by all as one of the major high points of the evening. Being the first major performance of the song since its release, the crowd, especially the ladies took out time to dance to the melodious rhythm of the song. And being a versatile artiste, Olu didn’t fail to impress with his stage craft.
