Sunday Oliseh is expected to resume work with Nigeria’s national team, after a brief vacation following his unveiling, as the new Super Eagles coach.

The former Eagles captain, will meet with members of his backroom staff, before he releases the list of home-based players ahead of the AFCON 2017 qualifier away to Tanzania.

One of the players who is likely to recieve a call up from Oliseh, is Anzhi Makhachkala midfielder Lukman Haruna. It is believed that Oliseh is torn between Haruna and AS Trencin’s Rabiu Ibrahim, for the role of the attacking midfielder in his team.

“Sunny wants fresh legs that will play with hunger for the national team and also get results, and I think Lukman and Igboun are being considered for the game,” a source told CompleteSports.

“Players such as John Ogu, Anderson Esiti and the prominent members are also expected to feature in his list.”
