Super Eagles assistant coach, Jean Francois Losciuto, had a surgical operation on Saturday in Pretoria, South Africa, where the team is preparing for the 2016 African Nations Championship.
According to reports, “a small metal” was found in his stomach after the surgery.
The Belgian complained about severe pains and was rushed to the hospital, where the procedure was carried out.
It has not been confirmed if Losciuto will be able to fly out with the rest of the squad to Rwanda on January 15.
Losciuto stood in for head coach, Sunday Oliseh, when he was recovering from a viral infection last year.
