Head coach of the Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh, has hailed Odion Ighalo after his goal against Everton on Saturday, as Watford began their Premier League campaign with a 2-2 draw at Goodison Park.
Ighalo left John Stones on his backside, before firing the ball past Tim Odion, to give the Hornets a 2-1 lead in the 82nd minute of the match.
His team were denied all three points, after Kone fired in the equalizer a few minutes later.
“I am thrilled by Ighalo’s goal,” Oliseh told completesportsnigeria.com.
“It was classy and I am happy he made his presence felt when he came in as a late second half substitute. That kind of performance is what I expect from my players week in, week out.
“With that kind of outing, he will either start the next game or be used as an impact substitute. I want to see all Super Eagles players in action every week and not as bench warmers”.
