Vincent Enyeama has been kicked out of the Super Eagles’s camp in Belgium by coach Sunday Oliseh.
The goalkeeper showed up after Monday’s deadline, having been permitted to report late, following the burial of his mother last weekend.
However, after he arrived, he met Oliseh and other officials and tried to apologize for coming late, but security officials were called in and he was bundled out of Hotel Verviers.
According to the team officials, Ahmed Musa has now been named captain of the Eagles, ahead of Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi.
Oliseh is also understood to be furious over the decision of Victor Moses to pull out of the friendly matches and might not call up the winger in future.
