Sunday Oliseh reportedly tore into Rabiu Ibrahim, after the midfielder hid an injury before Friday’s World Cup qualifier in Swaziland.
Ibrahim was subbed off 20 minutes after replacing Sylvester Igbonu in the second half of the game, as he struggled to keep up with the intensity of the match.
Oliseh accused the player of hiding an ankle injury, which prevented him from being effective.
“The coach is very unhappy with Rabiu, he said the player hid an injury from the team and so doing messed up his tactical plans and made him look like he did not know what he is doing as he was forced to make another substitution soon after,” an official disclosed.
“The coach is very crossed with Rabiu because he has stood by the player even after criticisms that the player will struggle in his team.”
