Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha, on Thursday confirmed the appointment of Mrs. Nkechi Onumajulu as the new Imo state Head of Service after working in acting capacity since November 2012.
During the swearing in ceremony, which took place in the Sam Mbakwe expanded EXCO chambers in the Government House, Owerri the state capital, Okorocha charged Mrs. Onumajulu to ensure that discipline and productivity are instilled in the state civil service.
He also urged her to key into the rescue mission agenda in order to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of the state and also enhance the standard of living of all workers.
While responding to the charge, Mrs. Onumajulu commended the Governor Okorocha for the appointment. She also promised to cooperate with the state government in order to achieve the desired goals of the rescue mission of the his administration.
