The Action Alliance (AA) governorship candidate in Imo, Mr Uche Nwosu on Friday flagged off his campaign, with a declaration that President Muhammadu Buhari will return to office.
Nwosu, Gov Rochas Okorochas’ former Chief of Staff and son-in-law flagged off his campaign at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that he drummed support for Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while asserting that he had no grievances with the president.
He called on his supporters to vote for the AA during the governorship and state House of Assembly elections and the APC during the Feb. 16 presidential election.
He pledged to consolidate on Gov. Okorocha’s achievements, adding that his youthfulness and experience while working under the Okorocha- led administration gave him an advantage over other candidates.
His words, “I have come to work in Imo and to consolidate on the governor’s achievements just the same way Pres. Buhari is coming to consolidate on his giant strides.
“I urge you to support the AA in Imo and the APC at the presidential election. My experience and pedigree, as well as my youthfulness, are assets we need in Imo at this stage of our development,”.
