The minister of finance and coordinating minister for the economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Tuesday held a closed-door meeting with the leadership of the House of Representatives.
Speaker Aminu Tambuwal was in attendance.
The parley, DAILY POST gathered, was to water the ground for the presentation of the proposed 2015 national budget.
This may not be unconnected with the tension caused by the siege laid the legislative chamber by security agencies on November 20.
President Goodluck Jonathan had written to the National Assembly requesting that Okonjo-Iweala be allowed to present the budget on his behalf tomorrow.
Time for presentation to the joint session of the legislature is 11am.
