Okada rider denies raping 8-year-old, says “my manhood was too big for her”

A commercial motorcycle operator identified simply as Daniel, has dismissed allegations that he raped an eight-year-old girl to coma.

Daniel was said to have lured the victim into his room at Ogiri Oko Street in Otukpo, Benue State under the guise of sending her on an errand on Wednesday.

The incident was said to have left the eight-years-old unconscious.

The suspect was however apprehended by vigilantes from Igbanonmaje after the girl’s mother reported the incident to them.

The victim’s mother was said to have raised alarm after she noticed the abnormal way her daughter was walking, Saturday Punch reports.

According to a resident, the eight-year-old told her that Daniel inserted his manhood into her, after which she became unconscious.

“She said by the time she woke up in his room, he saw the man pouring water on her,” the resident said.

Following his arrest by the vigilante, the suspect, who is a native of Ado Local Government Area of the state, said though he had tried to rape the girl, she left her because he could not penetrate her.

Denying raping the girl to comma, the newspaper quoted Daniel as saying, “Because my manhood was too big for her, I could not penetrate and had to leave her alone.”

The incident was confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Moses Yamu.

Yamu said the suspect is now in custody, adding that investigation into the matter was ongoing.
