Ojobo dedicates electoral victory to Ogbadibo people, makes Youths development his cardinal program

The Member-elect for Ogbadibo state Constituency at the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Joe Ojobo has dedicated his victory at the April 11th poll to the Almighty God and the good people of Ogbadibo LG.

Speaking shortly after receiving his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Makurdi, the Owukpa-born lawmaker said his victory at the just concluded House of Assembly election couldn’t have been possible if the people had no love for him as a person.

“Money is not everything! If you don’t love me, there was no way I could have clinched into victory, owing to the wind of change that was blowing across the country.

“I must confess that I’m among the few lucky ones from Ogbadibo who enjoy full supports and solidarity of the people, despite my shortcomings. Without you, I can’t be here. I therefore dedicate this victory to you, my friends here present and the good people of Ogbadibo LGA”, Ojobo said.

The young and vibrant lawmaker however admitted that he was not able to achieve his set target in the first tenure, in line with his plans for his Constituency. This, he said was not unconnected to lack of resources to propel his good wish for his people.

“Except very few amongst you here can understand the workings in the current state Assembly. Even as lawmakers, sometimes, we struggle and push hard before we can attend to personal needs”, he added.

Hon. Ojobo therefore requested for more understanding from his constituents as the 8th Assembly sets in.

The former Vice Chairman, Ogbadibo LGC reeled out his plans for Ogbadibo people in the next Assembly which focuses more on Youths development.

Hon. Ojobo also enjoined constituents to continue supporting the incoming administration and pray for successful government that will bring dividends of democracy to the people of Ogbadibo.
