The ongoing strike of the oil Marketers is beginning to have a terrible impact on the Nation’s capital city as queues in different filling stations continue to increase, while most filling stations remained shut down due to unavailability of Petroleum product.
Our correspondent who went round the capital city of Abuja did not find it funny as entrances to many filling stations were blocked by motorists who struggled to get PMS into their tanks.
It was observed by our correspondent that taxi fares within Abuja has increased automatically.
It would be recalled that the Petroleum Minister, Alison Maduakwe had boasted that despite the strike, Nigeria will have enough fuel for their cars, hence the fear of scarcity should be discarded.
Maduakwe had stated in not more than 48 hours ago that Nigeria has enough fuel that can take care of the nations need for over 40 days.
However, people are beginning to doubt her assertion as fuel scarcity currently rocks Abuja.
