Ogun doctors suspend three-month strike

The National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners (NAGGMDP) Ogun State Chapter, has suspended its three-month-staggered strike.

A release jointly signed by the Chairman and the Secretary, Dr. Oladunni Adetola and Dr. Adetonwa Festus, stated that the strike was called off following an emergency meeting with the leaders of Nigeria Medical Associations (NMA) and NAGGMDP alongside with the Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

According to them, the Association reaffirmed their readiness to provide good qualitative health care services to the good people of the State and also assures their support to the State Government in its mission to rebuild the State.

The release also stated that while negotiation is still on with the Government, health members of the Association have been directed to resume back to their various duty post.
