Obasanjo votes

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has just cast his vote in Owu, Abeokuta.

Obasanjo cast his vote at about 10:04am in Ward 11, Unit 22, Abeokuta North LG, Ogun State.

However, INEC officials are complaining about the low voters’ turnout.

The people of Ogun state will on Saturday vote in their new leaders in the governorship and State Assembly elections.

Ogun state has found itself in a political crisis as incumbent governor Ibikunle Amosun, who became senator-elect on the APC platform, has been openly soliciting votes for Adekunle Akinlade of the APM.

Amosun was also suspended days ago by National working Committee of APC for anti-party activities.

In Ogun, 41 candidates are contesting for the seat of the governor but the battle will be keenly contested between Adedapo Abiodun (APC),Buruji Kashamu (PDP) and Adekunle Akinlade of the APM.

DAILY POST brings you the live update of events as they unfold in Ogun State.
