Former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, on Monday denied being insane, accusing minority leader, Leo Ogor of being master of corruption.

The Kano lawmaker said Ogor’s activities in the lower house are geared towards fattening himself and his followers with the nation’s treasury.

Jibrin made the claim on Monday while reacting to reports that Ogor and other leaders of the House of Representatives had on Sunday recommended that he (Jibrin) go for a mental check-up to ascertain his mental health.

He said, “As for Minority Leader, Ogor a known bully who has had 13 wasteful years in the House, he cannot believe someone is finally standing up against them!

“Ogor epitomized corruption! (He) is the one not me that should visit the hospital and get his big belly filled up with fraud and bribes deflated.

“Ogor, runs a ring of corrupt cabal in the House who specializes in hijacking committees and investigative hearing for fraudulent purposes

“Ogor threatens with violence and treats his colleagues like school boys and has remained a curse and part of the dark history of the House.

“Rather than Ogor to simply tell Nigerians what he has received if he disputes my figures, he has resorted to personal attacks on my person.”

He further claimed that Ogor was against him simply because he (Jibrin) prevented him from attaining the deputy speaker’s position.

“Leo Ogor is a master of corruption and will never forgive me for the selfless and onerous role I played at ensuring he did not emerged Deputy Speaker!”
