The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase has vowed to deal decisively with any police officer found guilty of human rights abuse and professional misconduct.
He gave this warning on Tuesday during a working visit to the Kaduna State Police Command headquarters.
Arase called on officers and men of the command to be above board in the discharge of their duties.
He went on to charge the men of the Kaduna State Police Command to remember that the ban on road-block was still in force, stressing that the safer highways as introduced by the force should not be seen as an opportunity to extort money or brutalize motorists.
