Offa robbery: Buhari’s ally, Saidu vows to lead mass protest if Saraki is spared

All Progressive Congress, APC, chieftain in Bauchi State and an ally of President Buhari, Alhaji Ali Saidu, has threatened to mobilise mass protest against him if Senate President, Bukola Saraki, is not arrested over the Offa Bank robbery.

He urged the president to fight against any act of brigandage perpetrated by Nigerians regardless their status in the society.

“What the police are currently doing by interrogating Saraki on his alleged role linked to Offa Bank robbery is a good omen and a pointer that no body is above the law under President Buhari administration”, said Saidu.

The APC chieftain added that the measure to interrogate Saraki is not an attempt to witchhunt the number three citizen, but to ensure that the rule of law take its course.

“Look, from the inception of APC administration, President Buhari make it clear that he will neutralise agents of criminal activities through security agencies to save life and properties and what happened in Offa was a genocide” Saidu fumed.

He described as colossal loss, the death of over 30 people during the Offa Bank robbery.

Continuing, the APC chieftain said it not true that the charges against Saraki were political, insisting that most of the current office holders won election using Buhari’s popularity and wide acceptance.

“How can the same President target them?” Saidu quipped.
