Ocholi’s death has robbed Nigeria of a bright, fertile mind – Mark

id markFormer Senate President, Senator David Mark has described the death of the Minister of state for Labour and Employment, Mr. James Ocholi, SAN, his Wife and Son as one tragedy too many.

Speaking in reaction to the tragedy in a statement issued on Monday by his media assistant, Paul Mumeh, the lawmaker lamented that the death of Ocholi has robbed the nation of a very vibrant, articulate, progressive and fertile mind.

He pointed out that late Ocholi was a foremost legal luminary and an administrator per excellence who was determined to bring meaningful development to Nigeria.

According to Mark, “I mourn and indeed share the grief of the untimely death of our minister of state, labour and Employment. It is worse that Ocholi died along with his wife and Son. This is strange and indeed sad. Kogi state has lost a patriot, Nigeria has lost one of her finest, fertile and brightest minds.

“We shall miss his frank, honest, patriotic and uncommon disposition to the ideals of Nation hood.”

The Senator noted that Ocholi left a legacy of hard work, honesty, unwavering commitment to the ideals of nationhood which he noted should be the guiding principle for every right thinking member of the society.

He prayed that God almighty grant the immediate family, Government, people of Kogi state and the rest of Nigerians the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
