Edo State government has set up a 19-member transition committee headed by the Secretary to Edo State Government, Professor Julius Ihonvbere.
The Chief of Staff to Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Mr Patrick Obahiagbon, is the chairman of the inauguration committee.
The committee is expected to ensure smooth transition of power and swearing in of the governor-elect of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki, of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The ceremony will hold on November 12, 2016.
Obaseki defeated his closest rival in the September 28 governorship election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the PDP.
Meanwhile, the APC has dismissed claims by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that it was evading being served court processes.
It said that after a strenuous campaign for the governorship election, the leadership of the party was expected to take a rest.
Secretary of the party in the state, Chief Osaro Idah said “it is funny to say we are evading service.
“After an election like this, people are expected to take a rest, including the PDP leaders.”
