Godwin Obaje is set to sign a contract with Russian club, Spartak Moscow, after impressing on a two-week trial with the side.
Obaje finished as the top scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) last season with 18 goals for Wikki Tourists.
“It was a successful trials for me as they (Spartak Moscow) were impressed with my performance in training sessions,” he told CompleteSports.
“My agent is in talks with the club officials and every other details will be sorted out soon.
“It is my dream to play in Europe and I hope to actualise that this time around.”
Obaje was close to moving to Slovakian side, AS Trencin, last year but the move broke down.
