The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, has advised Corps members not to seek redeployment after the camping exercise.
Kazaure made this plea while addressing the 2016 Batch B Corps members deployed to Kebbi State, shortly after their swearing-in ceremony at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Dakingari.
He urged them to remain in their states of deployment and continue to contribute to the promotion of national unity.
Kazaure stressed that postings were done delibrately, to take graduates away from their home states and geo-political zones and forge ties among Nigerians of diverse backgrounds.
The Director-General also called on the Corps members, to imbibe the spirit of patriotism.
He advised the Corps members to maximize opportunity for self-employment, through the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme.
The 2016 Batch B Orientation Course started November 24 and is expected to end December 14, 2016.
