It was yet another high profile defection again yesterday, as a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudum Nwuche defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State.
According to Nwuche, the decision to leave the PDP was because the party was corrupt and had shortchanged him several times, adding that his political friends, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Ghali Naaba, former President Olusegun Obasanjo had all moved over to the APC from the PDP.
DAILY POST recalls that Nwuche had alleged electoral fraud in the senatorial primaries of the PDP when he lost the election for the Rivers West Senatorial district.
He said at the time that there was no election. .
