The Management and staff of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have commenced fervent prayers for the quick recovery of their Commandant General, Dr. Ade Abolurin from the injuries he sustained recently in a domestic accident.

Spokesperson of NSCDC, Emmanuel Okeh confirmed that officers and men of the NSCDC had organised a prayer session for the quick recovery of their boss.

“He is on medical leave, following a domestic accident. We thank God he is responding to the treatment,” Emmanuel Okeh said.

PRNigeria reports that the Commandant General was admitted to hospital but was recovering fast and may soon return to his desk.

Since the time that he took over, Abolurin has turned the organisation into a world class institution in terms of efficiency and performance, including winning multiple laurels for Nigeria at international sports competitions like the Olympics and others.

The NSCDC has within the period built three training institutions, including the Civil Defence College of Security Management, Ogun State, Civil Defence Academy, Abuja and College of Peace and Disaster Management, Katsina.

He is highly regarded by the rank and file for his open-door policy, inter-personal relationship, as well as repositioning the Corps.

A commentator described Dr. Abolurin as an epitome of frugality, focus, patriotism, sense of mission and above all, honesty and prudence in the management of public funds.

“This man deserves to be promoted as an exemplary public officer because his conduct and approach to governance are sufficiently impressive enough and therefore worthy of recommendation to others”, he said.
