The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has express its commitment to safeguard the nation’s airports, refineries and other government properties targeted by terror groups.
The Deputy Commandant of the NSCDC, Philip Okoh told DAILY POST in an exclusive interview on Monday in Bauchi that their resolve is to attract purposeful economic development.
He lamented that Nigeria has lost huge financial gains since the advent of terrorism as government properties have been affected.
Okoh assured that the civil defence will not fold its hands while criminals cripple the nation and its interests.
” Take government properties in your respective communities as your personal belongings to give way for sustainability for the benefits of our citizens,” Okoh said.
He maintained that the NSCDC will not spare any individual caught in the act of destroying federal government’s property in any part of the country.
“I am calling on Nigerians to always report to security agencies any person with questionable habits with a view to interrogate and by extension reach to the root of cases of crime,” the commandant said.
He warned that the government, through the security agencies, will not hesitate to sanction any individual or group found to be engaging in unlawful acts.
