NSCDC Inspector in trouble for posting nude picture of ex-mistress on Facebook

Just few months ago that the organisation got negative publicity following the public embarrassment of one of its commanders in what has come to be known as the ‘My Oga at the Top’ saga, a senior inspector of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps ,NSCDC,is in the news again for the wrong reason.

Mr. Bayo Onifade, a senior inspector in the Oyo State Command of the NSCDC was arrested by the police on charges of defamation of character and indecent assault, over some nude pictures of his mistress which he posted on Facebook after their relationship became sour.

DailyPost gathered that the 27-year-old married woman, who is a mother of two, had been involved in an extra-marital affair with Onifade since December last year in Saki, Oyo state.

However, in March, the lady decided to put an end to the relationship but Onifade was not ready to let go.

After repeated pleas to her yielded no desired results, Onafide decided to post nude photos of her, which he had taken on his mobile phone while their relationship was still was still very peaceful and cordial.

The attention of the lady’s husband was called to the picture by Facebook users who knew them. He consequently sent her packing.

The police subsequently arrested Onifade for defamation of character and indecent assault of the woman.

Confirming Onifade’s arrest, the State NSCDC Public Relations Officer,PRO, Mr Olusegun Oluwole said that Onifade has been suspended from work pending resolution of the case.
