NPFL Week 24 Review: Wikki remain top despite loss, Pillars hammer Abia Warriors

Wikki Tourists are still top of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), despite losing 2-0 to Plateau United at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos on Sunday.

Daddy Francis and Anayo Ogbonna scored for the hosts, as they recorded their second win in 11 matches.

Wikki still has 41 points, two more than second-placed Enugu Rangers.

Rangers kept pace with the Bauchi team, following a 2-1 victory over Warri Wolves in Enugu. Akwa United lost 2-0 to Heartland in Owerri.

Kano Pillars thrashed Abia Warriors 5-0 at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, Shooting Stars were held to a 2-2 draw at home by IfeanyiUbah FC and Sunshine Stars defeated MFM FC 2-0 in Akure.

Nasarawa United also beat Niger Tornadoes 1-0, thanks to Abdulrahman Bashir’s first-half strike.
