Enugu Rangers are still top of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), despite being held to a 1-1 draw at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu by Shooting Stars.

Chisom Egbuchulam scored for the hosts with 12 minutes of the game left, but Tope Orelope equalized from the spot in the dying minutes, after Matthew Etim was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area.

It is the first time Rangers have failed to win at home and it is also Shooting Stars’ first away point of the season.

Kano Pillars defeated Ikorodu United 2-1 at the Sani Abacha Stadium, while reigning champions also beat Niger Tornadoes 2-1 in Umuahia.

Warri Wolves lost 1-0 at home to Rivers United, Akwa United claimed a 2-0 win over FC IfeanyiUbah at home and Heartland beat El Kanemi Warriors 2-1 in Owerri.

Lobi Stars extended their unbeaten streak to 54 games, with a 1-0 victory over MFM FC in Markudi and Wikki Tourists defeated Nasarawa United 2-1.
