NPFL Week 13 Review: Abia Warriors beat MFM, Akwa United lose at home to Enyimba

Kano Pillars are now unbeaten in seven matches against Shooting Stars, following a 6-0 victory at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.

Emmanuel Edmund scored a hat-trick, while Ifeanyi Matthew, Adamu Mohammed and Nafiu Ibrahim also got on the scoresheet.

The former league champions now have 21 points from 12 matches.

Newcomers MFM FC, were defeated 3-1 in Umuahia by Abia Warriors. Heartland achieved a hard fought 1-0 win against Sunshine Stars in Owerri, while Plateau United claimed a narrow 2-1 victory over Rivers United in Jos.

Anthony Okpotu scored a late penalty as Lobi Stars beat Niger Tornadoes, Warri Wolves secured a 2-0 win over Giwa FC at the Warri City Stadium and FC Ifeanyi Ubah lost 2-0 to Wikki Tourists.

In Uyo, Akwa United lost to champions Enyimba 1-0.
