El-Kanemi Warriors midfielder, Olawale Isiaka, has said his side was unlucky to lose their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match Day 12 clash at Akwa United last Sunday.
An Ibrahim Alhassan’s 82nd minute goal condemned the Maiduguri side to a 1-0 loss at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
“We had a very good game against Akwa and the officiating too was fair but we were just unlucky to have lost the game by a narrow margin because we really worked hard to get at least a draw, but we lost and that is football for you and we have to accept it that way,” Isiaka told Goal .
“There was nothing we could have done that we didn’t do in that game, but, we have put that behind use to remain focus towards our next home game against Niger tornadoes.”
Ladan Bosso’s men are second on the NPFL table with 21 points from 12 games.
They host Niger Tornadoes in their next NPFL fixture this weekend.
