NPFL Watch: Enyimba suffer title setback, Warri Wolves lose

El Kanemi Warriors defeated Enyimba 2-1 in a Week 30 match at the Karanka Stadium in Kastina on Sunday.

Benjamin Turba and Efe Yarhere scored for the home team, to inflict a second defeat in 10 away games on the Aba team and put a dent on their bid to win the league.

Enyimba were only able to pull one back with two minutes left, as El Kanemi held on for their 11th win of the season.

El Kanemi remain 13th on the table with 39 points, while Enyimba are still top with 55 points.

Warri Wolves stay second despite losing 1-2 to Abia Warriors in Umuahia, while Heartland were held to a goalless draw at home by Lobi Stars.

Wikki Tourists moved up to third after a 2-0 win over Bayelsa United and champions Kano Pillars drew 1-1 with FC Ifeanyiubah in Nnewi.

In Lafia, Nasarawa United defeated Rangers 1-0, while Shooting Stars won 1-0 away to Akwa United.
