NPFL: Taraba United coach, Nduka confident of survival

Head coach of FC Taraba, Ndubuisi Nduka, has insisted that his team will continue to fight for their survival, in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPF).

Nduka’s team lost 1-0 to Shooting Stars in their Match Day 34 game at the Lekan Salami in Ibadan.

It means they remain in 19th place with 33 points, two ahead of bottom-placed Bayelsa United.

However, Nduka says if they produce good performances in their remaining four matches, they will stay up.

“The struggle to stay alive continues until the last match on the calendar, it’s not over until it’s over,” the former Heartland coach told supersport.com.

“We have four more matches to play and those matches have the potential to turn things around for us, so we will give the matches our very best.

“I feel bad losing the three points to 3SC as I would have loved to win to boost our survival battle.

“We lost the three points at the end of the day, so we must plan well to make up for the loss somewhere else.

“3SC are comfortable on the league log but they still fought as if their lives depended on the game.

“Like I said earlier, the struggle continues until the last match is played.”
