NPFL Review: Enyimba defeat Wikki to stay top, Wolves hold Pillars

Enyimba kept their dream of winning the Nigeria Professional Football League (NFPL) alive, with a 2-0 victory over Wikki Tourists, at the Enyimba Sports Stadium.

Captain Chinedu Udoji opened scoring shortly before the break, after a sustained period of domination. Five minutes after the break, Udoji converted a penalty kick to give his team all three points.

They now have 58 points from 31 matches.

Sunshine Stars beat Abia Warriors 1-0 at the Akure Township Stadium to move into second position.

Warri Wolves held Kano Pillars to a 1-1 at home, while Sharks eased their relegation worries with a 1-0 win over local rivals, Dolphins.

Rangers came from behind to beat Kwara United 2-1 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, FC IfeanyiUbah and Giwa FC played out a 1-1 draw and FC Taraba also drew 1-1 with El-Kanemi Warriors in Jalingo.
