NPFL Review: Enyimba clinch record-breaking title, Kwara United relegated

Despite going one man down in the second half, Enyimba held Warri Wolves to a 0-0 draw at the Enyimba Sports Stadium to win a record-breaking seventh Nigeria Professional Football League title.

Kadiri Ikhana’s men dominated the game, but failed to convert the chances they created.

The Peoples’ Elephant now have 69 points from 37 games.

Giwa FC defeated Shooting Stars 1-0 in Jos, to boost their chances of clinching a continental ticket.

Sunshine Stars came from behind to beat relegation-bound Bayelsa United 2-1, El-Kanemi Warriors claimed a 1-0 victory over Wikki Tourists, while IfeanyiUbah FC lost 2-0 at home to Nasarawa United.

Lobi Stars boosted their hope of survival with a 2-0 win over Enugu Rangers, Sharks beat Kwara United 1-0 and Dolphins defeated Heartland 2-1 at the Liberation Stadium.

Former champions Kano Pillars pipped Akwa United 1-0.
