NPFL: Nikyu’s move to Wikki Tourists delayed

Bala Nikyu remains confident of becoming the next head coach of Wikki Tourists, but has revealed there has been a delay in completing the deal.

Wikki sacked Mohammed Babaganaru after an unimpressive outing in the first half of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, which saw the Bauchi club drop into the relegation zone and eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup.

Nikyu left Katsina United early in the campaign and is likely to become their new manager at the start of next week.

“There has been some delay but I think it should be sorted out in no time. I am in Bauchi and I was with the entire management team of Wikki Tourists,” Nikyu told Goal.

“There are some final details that need to be sorted out and I believe that once that’s done the contract signing will take place.

“It’s important to sort out the paper works so to focus when works start. I am on my way to see their training this morning (Thursday). I believe it’s almost done and as soon as it’s sorted out I will keep you in the know,” he concluded.
