NPFL Match Day 32: Plateau stay top, Enyimba win

Plateau United maintained their spot on the top of the Nigeria Professional League (NPFL) table, following their 2-0 win against relegation battlers Shooting Stars on Sunday.

Emmanuel Odafe and Ibeh Johnson scored in each half, to secure maxium points for the leaders.

The win took their point tally to 58, three ahead of second place MFM FC.

MFM pipped bottom team Remo Stars 1-0 in Sagamu, to keep the pressure on Plateau.

In Maiduguri, title contenders Akwa United lost 1-0 to El-Kanemi Warriors.

Enyimba defeated 10-man Kano Pillars 1-0, ABS forced Katsina United to a 2-2 draw, Wikki Tourist beat Sunshine Stars 2-1 and IfeanyiUbah FC held Abia Warriors to a 0-0 draw.

Nasarawa United beat visiting Niger Tornadoes 1-0 and Gombe played a goalless draw at home with Lobi Stars.

In Enugu, the game between league champions Rangers and Rivers United was postponed due to heavy downpour.
