Lobi Stars midfielder, Sunday Akleche, has expressed his confidence that they can mount a serious challenge for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title.
The Benue club put up an unimpressive showing in the first stanza of this season, but Akleche believes they can come back stronger in the second stanza.
“The hope is that Lobi Stars will be at the top of the league with a sound tactician like coach Ogbeide,” he told Goal.
“In the NPFL we have many good teams. It’s very difficult but I know that Lobi Stars are one of those top teams who will be involved in the second stanza.
“It’s always good when good players come in. We are now a better side and for sure we will be fine when the league resumes.
“We are strong enough and have the qualities. With some good players joining us here, we are on the right track,” he concluded.
Lobi are currently 9th on the table with 27 points.
