Coach of Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL, side, MFM, Fidelis Ilechukwu has resigned after helping the Lagos-based club stay at the topflight.

The coach has been with the Olukoya Boys for over 10 years.

Ilechukwu left the club after the last game of 2015/2016 against IfeanyiUba on Sunday, which the side won 1-0 to help guarantee their safety in the topflight.

He guided the MFM side to the NPFL two seasons ago, the first in the history of the club.

Ilechukwu becomes the second coach to have resigned after the end of the 2015/2016 season, following Mohammed Babaganaru’s resignation as head coach of Kano Pillars.
