New Enyimba head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, has said the club will win the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title again.
Last season, the Peoples’ Elephant finished a disappointing 10th, as Enugu Rangers were crowned champions.
“I want to win the league with Enyimba, a team that is used to winning titles, so we are going for the championship, nothing less,” Ogunbote declared.
“Enyimba is a professional club with the right attitude for work”, he added.
The seven-time champions has already lost players like captain Chinedu Udoji, Razak Aliyu, Daniel Etor, Ifeanyi George and Ugwu Uwadiegwu, ahead of the 2016/2017 season. But they have signed Ghana international goalkeeper Fatau Dauda and striker Ismaila Gata from FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
