Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Enyimba and current league leaders, Wikki Tourists, both failed to win on Wednesday as the title race begins to hit the homestretch.
Enyimba were held to a goalless draw by Warri Wolves at the Warri Township Stadium.
Wikki also drew 1-1 with Lobi Stars.
These results leave Wikki still on top with 54 points, while Enyimba moves up to fifth with 49 points, although with a game in hand.
Enugu Rangers are expected to move to second place, when they play MFM FC on Thursday at home.
