Abia Warriors and Heartland boosted their hopes of escaping relegation from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), after they won their rescheduled fixtures on Wednesday.
In Owerri, Heartland saw off Niger Tornadoes 2-0, at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.
Captain Chindu Efugh opened scoring within five minutes, before Chidiebere Ajoku sealed the result with 20 minutes left.
The Naze Millionaires now have 40 points and are still 18th on the table.
Tornadoes on the other hand, are yet to pick up a point away from home this season.
Abia Warriors defeated local rivals Enyimba 3-1 in Umuahia.
Michael Olaha and Ndifreke Effiong gave the home side a two-goal lead, before the current NPFL champions pulled one back from the penalty spot.
However, Shedrack Asiegbu scored the decisive third, to seal maximum points for Abia Warriors, who moved up to 14th place on the table.
In the other game played on Wednesday, Kano Pillars pipped El-Kanemi Warrior 1-0.
